L’INDISCRET

Sawaya & Moroni

Reappraising and reinterpreting the classical typologies of domestic seating led to the three-seater Indiscret by Dominique Perrault with Gaelle Lauriot Prevost, the Spider’s Kiss chair and the variants on the Leggy Peggy chair, also by William Sawaya. Perrault studied the joint based on three identical arms that generates a three-seater unit arranged in a Y-shaped configuration. A many-legged wooden structure supports a single complete figure comprising upholstered seats and backrests connected seamlessly around a central core, each of the three fitted with one outer armrest of the same size. Because of the angles adopted by its configuration, Indiscret can accommodate three people, who can maintain their privacy without having to sit next to each other. Available with both the wooden structure and the upholstery in an intense light blue, to stress its clean lines and strong volume statement, Indiscret can also come with an unusual long-haired Mongolian sheepskin cover, whose soft whiteness transforms the figure into an informal, exuberant, exciting element.
